COVID-19 Update - We have completed a COVID-19 Business Reopening Training Certificate in Public Health, completed our Risk Assessment and implemented new procedures to keep everyone safe. There is a hand-sanitiser station near the front door and with the fridge under the stairs where you will find fresh milk and herbal teas.

The room information folders have been removed and we now have a consolidated paper version.

The buffet breakfast has been removed and we use disposable menus for you to place you order on the old school hatch. There is still the toaster but now with individual pots of jams and marmalades and individual butters - together with a hand sanitiser. There will be a window in the breakfast room and lounge open.

Guests are also asked if they can open their bedroom window before departure. Thank you

Pleasant and welcome overnight stay
we stayed for one night as a break in a journey from The Isles of Scilly to Yorkshire. Our rooms were well equipped and the beds were very comfy! Ear plugs were thoughtfully provided as the chiming church clock was in close proximity. Lovely bathrooms!Breakfast was comprehensive and enjoyable but

Just what I needed
I am away for business a lot and this place is a delight. Lovely room with everything you could ask for. Comfy bed, clean bathroom, plenty of tea and coffee facilities, fantastic views from the room I was in the Tennyson room with fantastic stained glass windows but most of all a welcoming host.
